Croeso/Welcome to Pantygwydr Baptist Church!
We believe in looking after our students both spiritually and physically – we welcome you to Swansea and warmly invite you to join our church family around the word of God and the dinner table.
It is vital that you find a spiritual home during your time in Swansea and should you settle at Pantygwydr, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
Students form an integral part of the church’s life and can make a significant contribution into the life of any church through their participation in both church and community.
John Rogers, one of our pastors is responsible for our student work and also serves on the Swansea University Chaplaincy team. John can be found in the Chaplaincy Centre, Fulton House every Wednesday (1-2.30pm) and is often around the campus. John can be contacted through the church office/website and is always ready to share a cuppa and a chat.
Students are invited to come for lunch after the service either at local cafes or to a family's home depending on the week. Once a month we have a shared lunch after the service with the whole church family in the hall.
In terms of groups for students, we are keen to support the work of the CU's that exist at both universities and often provide guest speakers and other resources. We actively seek to help students find a good balance between being part of local church and getting stuck into life on campus. Every year we begin by asking 'what is God doing in our church and on the campus' and we try to adapt our programs to fit.
If you're looking for a church to be part of in Swansea, there are so many great local groups to choose from. We are just one of many and hope that wherever the Lord leads you you will find a home and a place where the Lord will bless, stretch, encourage and grow you into the person he made you to be!
We meet Sundays at 10.30am and would love to get to know you :)
